Punk
Origin: Punk was created in 1993 and starred in “Ditzy and Punk,” a series about two alien brothers (from an unnamed planet) who fought the alien antagonists bent on taking over Earth. When Egghead was added to the team, the series was renamed “Rude Dudes,” but the premise of the series remained the same. Punk was basically the muscle of the team; what he lacked in brains, he made up for in brute strength. However, he wasn’t quite as dumb as his brother Ditzy, whose main purpose in the series (besides being a sidekick) was to provide comic relief.
In the “Why Bother?” series, Punk is just a fictional character who made a cameo appearance in Episode 12. He can be seen on the calendar hanging off of Mac and Dewey’s fridge.
Personality: True to his name, Punk was an asshole. Even though he was a “good guy,” he often insulted others and didn’t give much thought to how much damage he caused while beating up the bad guys. He cared more about beating the crap out of the aliens who were planning to take over Earth rather than saving the planet itself.
Hobbies: Punk enjoyed working out, smashing up things, beating up rival aliens, and working on his green tan.
Appearance: Punk wore sunglasses (even at night) because he thought it made him look “bad-ass.” His skin color was green (which was typical of most aliens from his planet). In the “Ditzy and Punk” series, Punk did not have a muscular body; his muscular physique came about when I redesigned each of the characters for the “Rude Dudes” series.
