Buck (“Bucky”) Stagler
Origin: Created in 1992; Bucky was a recurring character in the series “Arthur and George in Blexholm.” In that series, Bucky was a monk who lived with his brother Alfred in a quiet mountain village. The two brothers were trained in ninjitsu (or some bullshit like that). Whatever it was, their purpose was to aid Arthur and George in their efforts to save Blexholm from the antagonists in the series.
In “Why Bother?” Alfred and Bucky are no longer brothers; they are simply two thugs working for “the boss,” the head of a local criminal syndicate in Putzburg (the fictional town where “Why Bother?” takes place).
Personality: To say that Bucky has a bad temper would be an understatement. A little over thirty years ago, he was dishonorably discharged from the United States Army because of the trouble his temper got him into. Unable to hold jobs because of his temper, Bucky turned to a life of crime. After robbing a convenience store, Bucky was arrested and sent to prison where he met Alfred, a man with ties to organized crime. After being released from prison, Bucky was hired by one of the Putzburg mafia families (thanks to Alfred). Ever since, Bucky has performed many jobs which involve threatening and intimidating others.
Hobbies: Bucky likes gambling, bowling, playing pool, riding his motorcycle, and guns. His favorite guns are revolvers. Despite being in his mid-fifties, Bucky likes to work out regularly in order to stay fit.
Appearance: Bucky wears a belt buckle with a “deer head” logo on it since his name is Buck (though everyone calls him by his nickname). He also likes to keep his hair long. He used to have a beard (like Alfred), but he decided to shave it, keeping only the mustache.
