George Vern
Origin: Created along with Arthur Vern in 1992, George is Arthur’s younger brother who was a protagonist in the series “Arthur and George in Blexholm.” Little of that series remains, but it is not officially considered cannon in the “Why Bother?” series.
Personality: Like Arthur, George was once “a good kid,” but constant ridicule from bullies pushed him over the edge. George turned to a life of drugs and alcohol before he was even old enough to legally drive (in most states). Over the years, George and his brother have spent lots of time in rehab and even some time in jail. George was once arrested (with his brother Arthur) for selling “adult magazines” to minors. George has very little dialogue, but whenever he speaks, his speech is either slurred or difficult to understand. Despite George’s harmless appearance and slow behavior, it is rumored that he is actually very dangerous and is known to have “psychotic episodes” from time to time. This has yet to be confirmed.
Hobbies: George is usually too stoned or drunk to indulge in any hobbies. However, he usually tags along with his brother so he’s usually involved in the same activities as he is.
Appearance: Unlike Arthur, George is very disheveled looking. His hair is never combed and his face always has a couple of days worth of stubble. Due to the drugs and alcohol, he often has a “lost” look on his face.
